Dobry den!

"Happy birthday, Mick"! The Rolling Stones are in Prague for a concert and Mr Jagger is celebrating his 60th birthday. What a great place to have a party.

We get a lot of emails asking about the hidden costs of a Czech holiday - how much is a meal, a beer, etc. If you stay away from the night clubs a Pilsner beer will cost you about 50p, most pubs offer great value meals at lunchtimes, expect to pay a pound or so, and if you smoke, cigarettes are about 90p.

I f you want to dine well and are on a budget, stay away from the tourist traps and eat where the locals do. The food will be better and considerably cheaper. Ask at your hotel or hostel, the receptionist will most probably speak some English and will be happy to advise you.

September is not the ideal time to visit Prague because it is the peak conference season. Many hotels are full and it is very difficult to get any reasonable discount. However, we have done it again, and can supply a 3 Star Hotel for as little as 16 pounds, including breakfast!

And if your budget is really tight, how about a hostel for 10.00 pounds?

Don't forget, if you plan to fly to Prague - shop around the Internet sites and book early for the best prices.

Until next time, 'Na shledanou'
