The St. Thomas restaurant maintains the style of a typical Czech beer house with a capacity of 270 seats at tables. Every day you can enjoy live music. There is also a garden restaurant open from May to October. You can enjoy famous Czech beer and traditional Czech specialties. The history of the former St-Thomas brewery is to be written back to year 1358 when it was founded as the brewery of the Augustinian monastery.

Wenceslav II founded the monastery in the year 1285 near an early Gothic church. It was rebuild in Gothic style after the fire in 1420. The whole monastery complex was reconstructed many times, in Renaissance style in the 16th and 17th century and in Baroque style in the 18th century.

Today the brewery is a Renaissance building with Baroque renovations and modern adaptations. In the 19th century, the restaurant was a point of meeting for many famous Czech artists and writers. According to Prague legends, in the old times, the St. Thomas brewery was one of three on this side of the river, the only one where good beer was served and did not disappear with the passing years.
